The Government guidelines are changing all the time so we will edit the policy document and adjust our practical measures as and when things change but for now, be assured that:

If you are unable to stay owing to COVID19 health or travel restrictions, we will:

Postpone your booking and greet you with beer!
Refund your booking less a £10 processing charge.

A few key points for good measure:

Campfires! We are still supplying fire-drums, logs, kindling, paper, and lighters!

Payment: Cash or card are accepted.

We do allow groups of up to 10 under 18’s to stay but as I’m sure you’ll appreciate, we have a duty of care towards young people which means that we need to have an email from each parent confirming: 

1. They agree to your stay
2. Their contact details
3. Agreement that no alcohol or drugs will be consumed during your stay
4. An understanding that if alcohol/drugs are used, parents will be informed and departure will be immediate.

We want you to have a fab time and will do everything we can to make sure that’s the case.

We want everyone to feel comfortable on our site and whilst you’ll be pitched alongside other under 18 groups, we have many couples and families with young children just the other side of the hedge seeking a peaceful stay.

One of the ways we ensure this this is by taking a behaviour bond of £150 for all under 18 groups of 5 to 10 people. We will ask you, the group organiser for a single card payment two weeks before arrival.

The bond will be refunded within 7 days of your departure on condition that:

1. We have not had to ask more than once for your group to turn music off at 11 or keep to quiet chatter after.

1. We’ve not had complaints from other campers

1. Your group has left their pitch clean and all rubbish has either been recycled or taken home

If just one member lets the group down, the entire £150 will be retained

A note about pitch types:

Grass: This is the best pitch type for 18’s groups. You can pitch in a circle round a fire.

Powered Grass: These are located in our field for family groups, so you’ll be in a line and amongst families whose comfort we need to ensure.

Powered Hardstanding: These are located in our field for young families, so you’ll be in a line and amongst single families with a 10pm noise curfew.

Powered Bell tents: These are pre-erected and others in the group will be pitched close by.

Shepherd Huts and Bowtop Caravans: these are in a separate field 2-3 minutes’ walk away and can be booked by members of your group but not pitched or gathered around.
